“But it’s FREE. Why wouldn’t someone want it?” Yo

“But it’s FREE. Why wouldn’t someone want it?”You’ve spent hours putting together something genuinely useful, you’re giving it away for nothing, and you’re convinced it could help people.Your audience doesn’t know what you know. They don’t necessarily understand why they need it. And they might not even be at the stage where the problem you’re solving is on their radar. This is where a lot of freebie strategies go wrong. We start with “What could I give away?” rather than “What does my ideal customer actually need help with right now?”Those are two very different questions.Your freebie just needs to solve a problem that’s relevant to them, at the point they’re at.And ideally, that problem should have a natural connection to the paid offer you eventually want them to buy.Want to work out what that could look like for your business?I’ve put together a ChatGPT prompt that’ll help you work backwards from your paid offer, question your assumptions about your audience and come up with freebie ideas that actually make sense for their buying journey.👇 Comment TOOL and I’ll send it to you.

We talk a lot about top of funnel and bottom of funnel as if there always needs to be a long journey between the two.But sometimes there doesn’t.I’ve bought low-cost digital products from people I’d only just discovered on Instagram.Technically, I was top of funnel.I’d never heard of them before. But one post showed me they understood the problem I had, a quick look through their feed gave me enough confidence in their expertise, and the product felt like a low risk solution.Within a few minutes, I’d gone from discovering them to buying.
That’s a very short journey from TOF to BOF.And it’s why I’m wary of blanket marketing advice.Sometimes your content can create enough understanding and trust for the buying decision someone is making right now.A £17 digital product and a £5,000 service are not the same decision. They carry different levels of risk, consideration and commitment. So the journey shouldn’t automatically look the same either. The better question is:What does someone need to see, know or understand before they feel comfortable taking the next step?Start there. Not sure whether your customer journey needs a funnel, nurture sequence or something much simpler? You know your stuff and people trust you enough to

You know your stuff and people trust you enough to pay you.And then someone asks for your website link and you reluctantly send it, with the caveat, ‘.. it needs updating, ignore XYZ’I hear versions of this alllll the time.Usually, the problem is that the website has been built in bits as the business has grown. You might have started with a template, and then you added a new page for a new launch.. then you downloaded a plugin for something, which turned into 5 different plugins that do the same thing (and compete with each other!)Eventually, the business moves forward and the website gets left behind.
And that gap reallllyyy starts to show. You don’t necessarily need more features, more tech or another shiny tool.Sometimes you just need to look at what you already have and ask:
Does this still reflect the business I’m running now?Because if you’re quietly apologising for your website every time you share it… that’s probably your answer.I have spots available for website builds in September.. drop me a DM.

You might be talking about your offer too soon.Your audience is not always thinking:“I need a business coach.”They are thinking:“Why am I working so hard and still not making enough?”
“Why do I keep second-guessing every decision?”
“Why am I busy all week but getting nowhere?”That is the problem to lead with.Ask yourself, ‘What is my client saying to herself before she realises she needs my service?’Then use those exact words in your content.❌Instead of:

You are doing so much. You are just not sure which actions are actually moving the business forward.Talk to the problem they ALREADY recognise. That is what gets attention.
